About

What we are

Sanapass sells time off. A company gives each employee a gift of plain value, printed with their name, and they spend it on a spa day, a sauna by the sea, a round of golf or a night away at a place we chose by hand. We started with Christmas gifts for companies in Norway and Ireland. From December anyone can buy one.

Why we started it

We come from a business background, and we switch off the way most people do: a round of golf on the weekend, the sauna afterwards, a spa day on holiday. We also have friends and family in hospitality, so we know what that day looks like from the other side: long hours, real craft, big investments, and for hotels a platform in between that takes its quarter of every booking and keeps the guest's name.

Five years in Copenhagen showed us the other half. Good companies buy the same gift card every December because there is nothing better, and watch it get spent on a toaster.

Sanapass is our answer to both. A guest who arrives with the bill already paid. A gift that is a day, not a card.

How we work

With partners: we keep a share of the gift value only, and we have written into our terms that it will never be more than 15%. We never touch your prices and never resell what you sell. The guest books with you and stays your guest. For a spa or a golf club that means a new visitor who, if the day was good, comes back on their own.

If something in the flow does not fit how your house works, tell us and we change the flow, not you. We would rather have forty partners we talk to than four hundred we do not.

With companies: a gift is plain value. The prices on every profile are the partner's own. The rules fit in one sentence: valid until the end of next year, spend it in parts, on anything they sell, for yourself or for someone you bring. No packages with a margin inside.

This is the beginning. Christmas gifts first, private gifts from December, team days and offsites from February. The same partners throughout, and more of them across Northern Europe, one at a time, each one a place we would go to ourselves.
